BOWTROLLER

LCRA

Privacy policy

Effective October 1st 2026

LCRA ("the game") is made by Bowtroller, a brand of Accurate CLT LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to LCRA on Android, iOS and, once it's released, the web.

Questions or requests: info@bowtroller.com

The short version

  • You can play without giving us your name or email. The game creates a random player ID so your progress can be saved.
  • Ads are shown by Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, we ask before ads are personalized, and you can change your answer any time in Settings ▸ Privacy choices.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
  • We don't sell your personal information for money.
  • You can delete your game data in Settings ▸ Delete my data, or by emailing us.

What we collect and why

1. Game data (needed to play)

  • Player ID. A random identifier created when you first open the game (Unity Authentication, anonymous sign-in). It is not your name or email.
  • Profile you choose. Display name, avatar or player icon, and the title shown under your name.
  • Progress. Chips, items you own and have equipped, level and XP, daily streak, game statistics, and your settings.

We use this to run the game and keep your progress. It is stored on your device and in Unity Cloud Save so it isn't lost when you reinstall or change device.

2. Purchases

When you buy something (Remove Ads, a bundle, a cosmetic item, or a tip), the payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. We receive a purchase receipt (product, transaction ID, date, and whether it was successful) so we can deliver the item, restore it on a new device, and prevent fraud. We do not receive your card or bank details. Chips can't be bought with money; they are earned in the game.

3. Advertising

Free players see ads from Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK): a banner on menu screens and optional rewarded videos (you choose to watch one for free chips). To show and measure ads and prevent ad fraud, Google collects and processes:

  • device identifiers: the advertising ID (on iOS, only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt) and other app- or developer-scoped device identifiers,
  • your IP address (which can indicate your approximate location),
  • device and app information, and how you interact with ads.

Personalized ads and consent. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) before any ad is personalized. Where US state privacy laws give you the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the same Privacy choices screen lets you do that (it appears for players in those states). If you say no, you may still see non-personalized ads. Buying Remove Ads removes banner ads; rewarded videos stay available but are always optional.

Google's use of this data is described in its privacy policy and at "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (links below).

4. Crash reports and diagnostics

If the game crashes or hits an error, a diagnostic report is sent through Unity (crash log, app version, device model, operating system and a device identifier). We use it only to find and fix problems.

5. Feedback and support

When you use Send feedback or Report a problem, we receive what you send: your message and category, and, only if you turn them on, a screenshot, a game log (app version, device model, operating system and your last 20 moves) and the email address you enter so we can reply. Feedback goes to our own feedback server, which forwards it to us; if you're offline it waits on your device and is sent the next time you open the game. We use it to answer you and improve the game.

6. Playing with others

When you join an online room, Unity's multiplayer services (Lobby and Relay) process your IP address and session information to connect players. Players in the same room see your display name, your avatar or icon, your chips and the table, dice and chips you play with. Quick chat uses preset messages and emotes only; there is no free-text chat.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or browsing history, and the game doesn't use your camera.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that run parts of the game for us, under their own privacy terms:

Provider What for
Unity Technologies player ID, cloud saves, multiplayer, crash and error reports
Google (AdMob, User Messaging Platform) ads, ad measurement, consent
Apple, Google app stores and payments
Our web host for bowtroller.com running the feedback server that receives feedback, and support email

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect players or the game from fraud or abuse, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (this policy would continue to apply).

We do not sell personal information for money. Under some US state laws, letting ad partners use data for personalized ads can count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" - you can opt out in Settings ▸ Privacy choices.

Your choices and rights

  • Ads: Settings ▸ Privacy choices; on iOS, Settings ▸ Privacy \& Security ▸ Tracking; on Android, delete or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
  • Delete your data: see Delete your data below.
  • Access, correction, portability, objection: email us. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA/UK, or US state laws such as California's), you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to some uses, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): providing the game you asked for (game data, purchases), our legitimate interests (crash reports, fraud prevention, improving the game), your consent (personalized ads), and legal obligations.

Delete your data

In the game: open Settings ▸ Delete my data and confirm. This deletes your player ID and your cloud save (profile, chips, items and progress) from our services, and resets the game on that device (its settings and any feedback still waiting to be sent included).

Without the game: email info@bowtroller.com with the subject "Delete my LCRA data" and your player ID (shown in Settings ▸ Delete my data), or write from the email address you used when sending feedback. We'll confirm and delete it within 30 days.

What is deleted: in the game, your player ID and cloud save; by email, also any feedback you sent and the email address you gave us. What stays: purchase records kept by Apple or Google (you can still restore purchases with the same store account), crash reports kept by Unity for a limited period, and anything we must keep by law (for example, tax records of purchases).

How long we keep it

  • Game data: while you keep playing; deleted within 30 days after you delete it in the game or ask us to.
  • Feedback: as long as needed to handle it, and no longer than 12 months.
  • Crash reports and ad data: kept by Unity and Google for limited periods under their policies.
  • Purchase records: as long as needed to restore purchases and meet tax and accounting rules.

Children

LCRA is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@bowtroller.com and we will delete it.

Security and transfers

Information is encrypted in transit (TLS). Our providers may process it in the United States and other countries; where required, transfers use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can access it.

Changes

We'll update this page and the effective date when the policy changes. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you in the game.
